PERMALIGHT®'s safety armbands do not only make use of the photoluminescent glow effect to protect people in full darkness situations. Our armbands provide triple safety on the way to school or work, while changing a flat tire along the road, riding the bike, jogging or other outdoor activities, like utility crews, highway workers, truck drivers and many other applications.
  • Yellow Photoluminescence is visible in full darkness situations.
  • Reflective strips bounce back light that shines on them (e.g., car headlights).
  • Fluorescent strips are highly visible in daylight.

While reflective material only works when directly struck by light (from an approaching vehicle, for example), the brightly glowing photoluminescent material is visible from a far distance, thereby increasing the reaction time of the driver to avoid accidents.
