LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
It is critical to protect our environment and we strive to do so in all stages of our production, starting with the selection of the raw materials. Environmental protection is not just a phrase to us, it plays a major role in the fabrication of all our photoluminescent products. Since July 2009 we have been certified to the environmental management system (EMS) standard ISO 14001:2005 and manufacture according to those requirements every day.
US Green Building Council
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings: www.usgbc.org
Their LEED® green building certification program is a voluntary, consensus based national rating system for buildings designed, constructed and operated for improved environmental and human health performance. LEED addresses all building types and emphasizes state-of-the- art strategies in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Possible LEED project credits for PERMALIGHT® Photoluminescent products are categories EA1, MR4 and ID1.1. Please contact us for details for specific products and applications.
Within the scope of our continuing commitment to the protection of the environment and natural resources we continually develop environmentally friendly and energy saving products as a Green Building Council member.
