Factors that influence how brightly a photoluminescent marking performs:
- Type of light source (cool fluorescent light activates better than warm incandescent light)
- Light Intensity on Marking Surfaces (the closer a photoluminescent marking is to its activating source, the brighter it will perform)
- Length of activation (the longer you activate, the brighter it will perform)
Controlled by Permalight:
- Type of photoluminescent pigment (non-toxic strontium oxide aluminate is nowadays the pigment for safety uses)
- Quantity of photoluminescent pigment within a marking (small pigment loading may qualify for Halloween markings, higher pigment loading achieves safety-suitable results).
