UL 924–Standard for Safety of Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment is published by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. It addresses - among many other things - photoluminescent exit signs.

UL 1994–Standard for Luminous Egress Path Marking Systems is published by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. It addresses electrically activated, self-luminous (radioactive tritium gas filled) and non-radioactive photoluminescent egress path markings.
