Apply 3M Scotch-Weld as a base before installing Permalight foam guards to improve adhesion and ensure a long-lasting installation.

3M Scotch-Weld is a high-performance contact adhesive designed for bonding metals, plastics, and other materials. It is ideal for laminating and permanent applications where a strong, durable hold is required.

This adhesive bonds effectively to stainless steel, aluminum, and cold-rolled steel, and works well with many plastics and surfaces. It provides a strong, long-lasting hold while remaining easy to apply with a fast-drying formula.

It is recommended for use with non-adhesive guards, such as our Type B, and can also improve adhesion on self-adhesive guards. It performs especially well on high-use or difficult surfaces.
